Explore “Under the Surface”: A Fusion of Talent “Under the Surface” is a thrilling new Dutch band that unites the extraordinary skills of Dutch drummer Joost Lijbaart (renowned for collaborations with Yuri Honing), guitarist Bram Stadhouders (notable for work with the Netherlands chamber choir, Jim Black, and Sidsel Endersen), and the exceptional vocalist Sanne Rambags (recipient of the Conservatory Talent Award in 2017). This trio’s journey commenced in 2015 under the wing of the Dutch foundation Beaux Jazz, providing invaluable artistic support to emerging talents. For the inaugural edition of ‘Generation Next,’ the gifted singer Sanne Rambags teamed up with guitarist Bram Stadhouders and drummer Joost Lijbaart, embarking on a daring musical exploration.

Jeroen Van Vliet (Pianist): Jeroen van Vliet, born on April 8, 1965, in Rosmalen, captured the national spotlight by winning the top prize at the Middelsee Jazztreffen in 1985. He has been a cornerstone of the Dutch jazz scene, collaborating with luminaries like Paul van Kemenade and Eric van der Westen. Jeroen’s illustrious journey encompasses performances with his own trio and contributions to various projects. With a history rich in accolades and international engagements, Jeron’s music has left an indelible mark on the world of jazz.

Geert Mul (New Media Artist): Geert Mul is a visionary in the realm of new media art, pushing artistic boundaries for over 25 years. His experimental creations span diverse media, from prints to interactive computer installations. A central theme in Mul’s work is the intricate interplay between technology and perception. Based in Rotterdam since 1993, he pioneered the VJ scene in the alternative Techno world, subsequently showcasing his art worldwide, from renowned Dutch museums to international institutions like the National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto.
