New Grounds opening party

Date Saturday 19 March, 2022
Start 20:00
Doors open 19:30

Attention: the concert hall is not accessible for wheelchair users, as there is no lift. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It is finally happening! New Grounds officially opens its doors and we would like to celebrate this with you: our New Friends!

During the opening party we have a special line up for you including: the Plankton Orchestra, an international, young cross-over orchestra of 20 people, ready to conquer the world. They will be playing their own work alongside that of Iggy Pop and Dead Can Dance and will be accompanying singer-songwriter Alexandra Alden, among others.

UPDATE: It is with great disappointment that we announce that Eni-Less will not be playing at the Grand Opening of New Grounds tonight. Due to illness he will not be able to attend.

This means that there will be a change in the program. The evening will start with the amazing Michael Prins, who will play some pieces from his wonderful debut album “Rivertown Fairytales,” accompanied by Raphael Vanoli on guitar.

These amazing artists together with DJ Mo and Gea Russell to make the party night complete! The evening will be hosted by Rotterdam’s pride and joy, Ruwhel.

We will also have a tropical party in the cafe on the first floor all evening, with latin and salsa music by DJ Caliente. Known from our own Salsa meets Jazz parties!
