The two virtuosos Marcel Powell (guitar) and Armandinho Macêdo (mandolin & Bahian guitar) come together to pay tribute to Baden Powell (1937-2000) in a unique concert that mixes their musical languages.

On the one hand, the guitar school of Baden Powell, recognized and respected throughout the world, on the other the language of the electric trios of the carnival of Salvador de Bahia invented by the father of the mandolinist Omar Macêdo. From this fusion of musical accents is born a repertoire around the standards of the repertoire such as Afrossambas, Berimbau, Canto de Ossanha. The dazzling performance immerses the listener in jazz improvisations and the Brazilian universe with perfect coherence thanks to the guitarist’s “claw”, recognizable among all at the first chord and the virtuosism of the mandolinist.
